Surprise

Another surprise for today. Her colleagues are really fun!!

The Change is Now

Don't you think so? When you want to achieve something or make a change, if you keep saying that there will be tomorrow and soon, you will stay stagnant forever because as everybody knows, tomorrow never comes. Saying the diet starts tomorrow, you will never get into the shape you want. The cleaning starts tomorrow, you house will stay in a mess. So nothing is more appropriate than the phrase 'the change is now'.

True enough, she is finally taking the first step to a new change. Exploring the world in a different view right now, there are still many that needs to be kept unveil - due to privacy constraints. Nonetheless, you will know soon, when her change is finally here.

Meanwhile, let's indulge into another perks of her life as a writer. Due to some unavoidable circumstances, the once turned down dinner plan is going according to plan. Sometimes, things have to flexible in order for her to go along better with others. It was nonetheless worth while. Not just the fancy dinner but also information and connection gained.

Dining at the Big Apple restaurant in Berjaya Hotels and Resorts, the little growing writer and her colleagues were hosted by the communication team of the hotel. It was a great dinner filled with delicious bites specially made by chef Kwan. Today was also the second Lou Sang this year. Accompanied with good wine, tasteful Chinese cuisines, wonderful company and serenading songs, what other luxury can one asked for?

She says:

"When you feel so low and down, pamper yourself with good food and wonderful experience. That's how I make myself happy. Indulge in any sinful desserts that you usually avoid. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to be happy."

A New Resolution

One can never achieve anything without hard work and perseverance. This was something she learned long time ago, but it slowly faded from her memory till today, when she was hit with a realisation that her life is stagnant, getting no where.

So here's a catch up on what she missed. If she had wrote a story per day, by now her writing portfolio would be full. If she would have save a dime a day, by now her banks will be full. So yea, she had to again be reminded the hard way about how it's important to remember to take a step a day without fail to reach the mountain top on a steady pace.

Let today be her first step of a long journey to reach her ideal destination.

"A blog post a day unclogs her way."

Enough of her daily philosophical realisation, let's probe a little into her life today. Covering the opening of IPPUDO restaurant in Pavilion KL, she managed to sink her teeth into a hot steamy bowl of Ramen. Founded by Shigemi Kawahara, the Japan acclaimed ramen eatery made its foray into Malaysia.

Surely a place worth trying out. Ramen was made with mouthwatering tenderness soaked in a creamy hot satisfying soup. Not forgetting the chasyu or pork slice that literally melts in your mouth. So yeah, her stomach was clearly filled with much satisfaction. It would be tough for a next ramen master to satisfy her now that a bar has been made.

She says:

"Food calms my soul. At the very least, while I was intently savouring the ramen, for a moment I was really enjoying the taste while my worries were set aside."

Practise makes perfect

One can really forget how fast time flies. It have been a while since the last she appeared in this abandoned blog. It was first about how she started being a student and how life was still so far ahead. In a blink of an eye, she is now catching the train to the destination of success.

This little girl has been in living in the big city for almost two years now. Yes, the little girl with big dream is actually in the race of getting what she wants. Something even she never thought she could do. The best thing to ever happen to her right now is to be able to be a part of an editorial team of a prestigious magazine.

Yes, she is now a writer-in-training. With so many blunted edges to polish, so many errors to improve, she needs all the help and practise she can get. There should be something interesting in her life from time to time. Constructive criticism, haters, fans and fellow senior writers she welcomes your bazooka. She's shield-less. I believe in growing stronger through pain.

The Year of Snake

Celebrating the auspicious year of the intelligent and cunning Snake, the girl decided long ago to go back to her home town for a visit. The longest visit in the past one year since she started working, she will be up North for ten long days.

Things have changed since she found her soul mate. Meetings with family became less, catching up with fellow friends was cut short while the time spent loving each other was prioritised. No harm done, it is simply the things girls do when they are madly in love.

Everyday is an excitement. Sitting through different conversations, knowing her other half a little more each day and being in his life for a duration made everything different. It is as if living a different life entirely. A literal meaning of trying to fit someone else's shoe.

Of good food, merry conversations and joyous moments, let the picture speak more than words.

Lost Little Fellow

Have you ever travel to a far place and ended up being lost in a subway? Have you walked into a mall and forget the way to get out? Have you been into a playground and find yourself stuck in a maze? Well, everyone would have at least encountered a time where they are lost. Today this little fellow got lost in a shopping mall called GurneyPlaza after traveling all the way from London. Only God knows how this little fellow have separated from the one companion he has. Lucky for him, a kind-hearted girl found him.

If it would have been other people who have found this little fellow, it would have been impossible for him to rejoice back with his companion. It's the day for him because SHE found him. She got him back to her house and starts to search all over this little fellow to find information.[she LITERALLY SEARCH all over him O_O] Lucky for her, she got to call his family and after a long call, she finally got the one she wanted to find.

The little fellow was lost and afraid. Who wouldn't have been? Imagine finding yourself in a strange place with people who are so different from you. You could not even speak to them because you could not understand them. All you could do was to sit and wait alone, until help arrives. Being so helpless and afraid, all this fellow could do was to cry-tearless to sleep.

She found her way to contact the fellow's family, and have already arranged to meet up to let this fellow go back to where he belongs. Wouldn't it be great? ^^ To finally be able to meet with your family despite being lost? This is what this cute little fellow looks like!!

and now he's right back where he came from ^^

She says :

Damn if i have not returned it i would have got a new phone!!
But i would never be able to pass through my conscience.
Guess it came out well after all!!
i did get a RM20 ang pau for that

Yee Sang

It's a Chinese New Year's tradition to  "Lou Sang" on the eighth day of the New Year in the Lunar Calendar. It happened to be yesterday. Lou Sang means to mixed up all the Yee Sang ingredients and while mixing with the chopstick, the higher you carry the ingredients the better luck you have ahead for you. The ingredients for the Yee Sang is originally the Teochew-style raw fish salad, shredded vegetables and mixture of sauce. [citation : wikipedia] However, as the Earth evolved from Green Forest to Titanium buildings, the Yee Sang ingredients also evolved from normal shredded fish to fresh salmon sashimi. You can easily get one full set of Yee Sang from Sakae Sushi or Sushi King. If you are a more practical person, you can always get the vegetables from the morning market and cut them yourself.

As for her, she took the trouble to buy the Yee Sang ingredients from Tesco on the night before Chinese New Year for her reunion dinner. However, since there were very little people, her mum suggested to her to Lou Sang in her relatives house. Ended up, they started steamboat and forgot all about it. Lucky for her, exactly on the eighth day of CNY, she was invited to her employee's [aka BIG BOSS] place to celebrate CNY. And so she went and lucky for her she did get to Lou Sang this year after all. She was very lucky last year too.She got to Lou Sang with her colleague in Switch [an apple retail shop in Penang].
So there she goes LOU LOU LOU~

This is how she spent her eighth day of CNY. Having a happy Lou Sang day at her boss's place.
How did you spend yours?

She says:

^^
Guess in CNY it's always
All Well, Ends Well
Just when i thought i would not get to Lou Sang this year,
I DID

Breath Right

Almost 75% of people in this world are having the same problem as she is facing right now. In fact, some of you people out there may not even know that you have this problem until you have some people that come over for a sleepover or when you had to cramp in a small tent with a couple of friends. This could happen because you are plainly too beaten up or you have nasal congestion that block your breathing through the nose. What is this problem you asked? Haven't you figure it out yet?

It is the snoring problem. Many do not even know that they have this problem because they just cant know it until someone tells them. [of course unless you have a magnificent brain that could detect the sound waves sent by your ear in the middle of the night when you are in slumberland] For her, she did not even know that she had this problem untill her very first trip with her friends to Genting and Kuala Lumpur. It was only at that time she knew because her friends who slept in the same room as her told her [oh boy her reaction was so shockingly funny that if a picture was taken, it would make a dumb person cry with laughter]

This clears the mystery for having a sorethroat each time she wakes up in the morning. When a person snores for the whole night, it is only normal that his/her throat becomes dry in the morning. So while browsing through Guardian after her gym, she found a very nice product that may or may not help her reduce her snoring problem.
This is a Breath Right nasal strips. It is actually a flexible "spring-like" band that gently lift nasal passage open. It actually sticks on your nose and pull the walls of your nose higher. It is said to be able to improve airflow to 31%. In fact, it did not bother her at all while wearing them. Considering how itchy her hands is, it is a miracle she did not tear the thing off before she felt asleep. It fits on her nose perfectly as if she felt nothing was there other than being able to breath better.

For those who have this little problem while sleeping, get one of the Breath Right nasal strips and see if it helps you. Of course it is better to have it healed now than to have your future spouse kicking you out of the room for disturbing their comfortable adventure in slumberland.

She says :

This is one of the few products that actually works as said in the commercial.
The best part of it, it was comfortable for me.
I'd just wish they come in blue or white.
^.^

New Cupboard

After being inspired by Katie and her blog she has always wanted to this for a very long time but simply could not find the time. Guess what overwhelmed her was sloth and laziness. Finally today, she did it. However, it is still incomplete. Exactly like how she would do it, half done!! Wonder when would she change this attitude of hers.

She says:

What should i do at the bottom part?
Hmmm... any ideas?

We Are the World

The Second day of New Year for her and she has nothing better to do but to stay at home. So what else could she do but to online? While talking with a friend of hers, she was informed that the new edited version of "We Are The World" is out. After having to wait for almost 2 hours just for the FULL video to load [say thank you to Streamyx for letting it load today cause usually it would not at all] she finally get to watch the video.

She has decided for a very long time that she would grow up being able to help those in needs and this video is how some others have successfully did what she wanted. Happily beyond words, she is glad that there are people in this world who are still willing to help.

And she says :

I can SEE this and UNDERSTAND it.
So, each time when I am facing difficulties, I would remember this.
There are others who are
more needy than me,
more troubled than me
and those who find it difficult to just make their stomach full.
So i will stop complaining because i know life has been fair to me.
And i hope YOU could see it too.
